About this blog: how we write and check our articles

Who writes the TerumoEdge AIMS Blog, where our facts come from, how we compare study options fairly, and how to report an error.

Who writes this blog

The TerumoEdge AIMS Blog is written by the team that builds the TerumoEdge AIMS Ex-Sim, a simulator for the AIMS Professional Examination for Medical Laboratory Scientists. We are not AIMS, and the product is not endorsed by or affiliated with AIMS. Because we make a product that some articles discuss, we say so on every page.

Where our facts come from

  • The AIMS Professional Examination Pack for the format, the seven sections, the passing rule, the scoring scale, the sitting months, the application deadlines and the proctoring rules.
  • The AIMS Guidelines for Skills and Qualifications Assessment for who must sit the examination, the assessment options, experience requirements and validity.
  • The AIMS website for the current list of examination packs and the sitting pattern.
  • The TerumoEdge AIMS bank itself for anything about the product. Product numbers on this blog are kept in one place and always match the app.

Every article ends with a Sources section that links what it relied on. AIMS publishes no pass rates or examinee numbers, so this blog quotes none. If a fact could not be checked against a source, it is not in the article.

How we compare study options

When we compare a simulator with the AIMS study guide, the sample questions in the exam pack, a laboratory science reviewer or a chatbot, we compare kinds of tools against stated criteria, not named companies. Where we say the TerumoEdge AIMS Ex-Sim does something, the sentence says what it is and how you can check it, usually in the free demo.

What we never do

  • Invent statistics, testimonials, quotes or reviewers.
  • Quote prices in articles. The pricing page is always current.
  • Promise a pass, predict a result, or say a pass leads to a visa or a job.
  • Put a year in a title. A date appears in the text only beside the fact it governs.

Updates and corrections

AIMS reissues its exam pack and guidelines from time to time, so check the current versions on the AIMS website before you act on any date or rule. We re-check our articles when a new pack is published. To report an error, email team@exam-simulation.com with the article's address and what you believe is wrong.
